Cindy's Journey to Disciple-Making and Ministry in Phoenix
Cindy grew up just outside of Philadelphia, PA, where she has spent most of her life. Raised in a Christian home, she developed a heart for God’s Word from a young age. As a teenager, Cindy felt called to share the gospel with others, and over the years, her passion for missions and evangelism only deepened.

While pursuing her studies in seminary, Cindy took a transformative class in 2016 titled “Creating a Culture of Discipleship,” which sparked a renewed fire in her to follow Jesus more intentionally—like the original disciples did. It was in this class that she first encountered the concept of Disciple-Making Movements (“DMM”)--a powerful model of multiplying disciples in everyday life.

Several years later, Cindy joined an online training course called "Habits of a Multiplying Disciple," where she connected with like-minded individuals who were also committed to making disciples. Through these interactions, Cindy became involved with New Generations, a disciple-making organization with teams across the United States and around the world. In the summer of 2021, she began supporting their North America Movement Prayer Team, using her administrative gifts to help facilitate prayer efforts for North America. While this remote role was a blessing, Cindy felt a growing desire to engage more directly in disciple-making alongside others, in an “on-the-ground” context.

One of Cindy’s team members from Phoenix Underground invited her to visit Phoenix in January 2024. After spending a month with their local team and sensing it could be a good fit, Cindy prayerfully considered the invitation to join them. After much prayer, reflection, and many conversations this year, Cindy made the decision to relocate to Phoenix in December 2024 to be a part of the Phoenix Underground team.

Cindy is excited to use her gifts in administration, teaching, mercy, helps, and outreach to further God’s work in Phoenix. In this new role, she will support the team by developing prayer strategies, encouraging healthy spiritual formation, and exploring ways to engage with the underserved communities in the area. She is eager to partner with others in the work of multiplying disciples and to join in what God is already doing in Phoenix.
